A Nashville native, Shannon lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, daughter, and two cats. She has worked as a professional copy editor for a leading digital marketing company for the past five years. Her poems have been published in literary magazines such as Black Fox Literary Magazine, Talking River Review, and Literary Mama, among others. She currently has new work forthcoming from Last Leaves Magazine and The Southern Quill.
