A Nashville native, Shannon lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, daughter, and two cats. She has worked as a professional copy editor for a leading digital marketing company for the past five years. Her poems have been published in literary magazines such as Boats Against the Current, samfiftyfour, and Thimble Literary Magazine, among others.
